This sculptural installation is based on the English phrase “don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” It deals with the concepts of desire, greed, risk, and responsibility. Each of the seven baskets in the installation represents one of the G7 countries.
Preeti Smith is a Canadian artist and designer. Her work is a synthesis of the aesthetic and the conceptual, and is typically concerned with issues such as identity, modernity, technology, and sociopolitics. She has studied at the University of British Columbia and the Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and currently lives and works in Vancouver.
