Claudio Rivera-Seguel was born in Prince Rupert, Canada in 1965. He graduated in Architecture (Public Art projects) from the University of British Columbia in 1992. He is a Chilean-Canadian multidisciplinary artist whose work includes drawing, digital graphics, installations and performance. His works often question the way in which images and language condition cultural, political and social understanding. He has participated in installations and exhibitions in Chile, Mexico, France, Canada, Spain, United States, Germany & Cuba.
Luz=Luz Commercial is part of a series of photo-performance pieces at Parisien national landmarks. There are a total of 12 “New Commandments” with ironic texts commenting on contemporary social practices. This series has previously been presented in Fredericton, Montreal, Paris and Santiago.
The works are located in the corridors of Waterfront Station, Vancouver City Centre Station, Yaletown-Roundhouse Station, and Broadway Station.
