King Edward

The neighbourhood surrounding King Edward Station, located at West King Edward Avenue and Cambie Street, is a perfect example of residential Vancouver. Tour the tree lined streets to find classic character homes, locally owned stores and restaurants and wonderful parks.

History Gallery

Temporary bridges for eastbound and westbound traffic on King Edward Ave. extends over excavated Phase A of King Edward Station. Following completion of construction for Phase A, bridges are removed and vehicle traffic is shifted to the east side of Cambie St. to accommodate Phase B construction on the west side.

Following completion of construction for phase A of King Edward Station, traffic is shifted to the east side of Cambie street to allow for excavation of Phase B of the station. Centre section shows access point to and from trains.

Rebar for equipment room walls of the station entrance building. 667 tonnes of rebar was required to construct the station.

Base slab level of the station entrance building has been poured and forming of elevator shaft is underway. Lower station walls are prepared for waterproofing.

Upper section of the station entrance building at street level. This Phase B construction took seven months to complete.
