At the busy intersection of Cambie and 49th, you are emerged in a fast-paced environment. It is easy to get into the mindset of go, go, go… when really, what you could use is a moment to pause, pause, pause…

How we interact with each other in our everyday lives is often guided by our emotions. The concept for More Than a Hue… picks up on this idea. Using simplified compositional space, and hues of blue, the abstracted form encourages a place to pause. With this three dimensional installation, we ask the viewer: How does space impact your movement? How does your sense of this space inform your activity?

Oxford Languages defines blue as, “a colour intermediate between green and violet, as of the sky or sea on a sunny day.”
