You’ve likely been to the airport several times, but were either running late to catch a flight, anxious to get home or too busy welcoming visitors to really take it all in. Here’s a chance to enjoy all the art, food and services the airport has to offer at a more leisurely pace. Located conveniently between the international and domestic terminals, the YVR Airport Station connects you easily to your departing flight, your arriving friend or all the offerings the airport has to offer. Enter the station via the escalator or elevator found in the atrium by domestic departures or via the walkway and escalators or elevators found next to the parking garage by international arrivals and departures.
While at the airport, check out the new Public Observation Area. You’ll find it on Level 4 of the Domestic terminal (accessed through the level 3 food court). Explore the interactive maps, flight simulator and monoculars for viewing, great for children 6 – 106. Plus free wireless Internet.
Visit one of the airport’s many great commercial features including spas, bookstores, florists and restaurants. View the numerous First Nations art installations on display throughout the airport, such as the famous Spirit of Haida Gwaii Jade Canoe or the many totem poles. Stroll through one of the two wooded parks that can be found past the Fairview Hotel and between international arrivals and the parking lot.
