Welcome to Broadway – City Hall
Situated conveniently on the Southeast corner of W Broadway and Cambie Street, Broadway City Hall Station is your destination for City Hall, outdoor gear shopping, diverse food and connection to the 99 B Line Bus.
Head south from the station up Cambie Street to check out Vancouver City Hall, built in 1936. With its impressive art deco design and neon red clock it’s a hard building to miss. Go inside to view the art deco lobby or stroll the grounds being sure to visit the community garden, and the statue of Captain Vancouver. If you feel the need to rest, the site offers many benches with spectacular views of the city and mountains.
Head east on Broadway to visit Vancouver’s centre for cyclists, campers, kayaking and anyone interested in outdoor activity. Clustered around the well-known Mountain Equipment Coop are dozens of lesser-known stores selling gear for all types of sports, at all price ranges. Return West via 10th Avenue to view Vancouver’s most colourful block of Heritage homes.
Walking West along Broadway you will find a wide range of restaurant and shopping options. Check out one of the many great noodle houses or sushi restaurants. Shop for camera accessories, books, toiletries and other specialty items at one the of the many stores along Broadway.
Head north along Cambie Street for a great view of downtown Vancouver and to visit one of the many large chain stores, such as Home Depot, Canadian Tire or Whole Foods that dot Cambie Street.
