Hollywood & Vine. Haight & Ashbury. Portage & Main.
Great cities are composed of great intersections. Recognizable outside of their city limits, these intersections play host to significant historical events, define the culture of a neighbourhood, and are the meeting point for diverse groups of people.

Launched on February 1st, 2013 at Canada Line’s Waterfront Station, Intersections celebrates the unique attributes of seven essential locations throughout our city. For the exhibition, seven local designers were invited to respond to a specific Vancouver intersection. Drawing from history, geography, architecture, observation and folklore, each resulted in a design that addresses the unique character of a place.

Intersections is conceived and curated by The Platform Gallery. The exhibition is produced in collaboration with the Canada Line Public Art Program, with support from numerous community sponsors and some of Vancouver’s best design talent.
